Birch

Birch is a small wood mushroom table lamp built for the nightstand. A milky opal glass dome rests on a little wooden tripod base, in light or dark wood, so it looks tidy switched off and glows softly when it's on. The opal shade hides the bulb completely, which is why the warm light reads as an even, settled pool rather than a bright point.

It gives you a calm bedside glow to wind down beside, or a quiet bit of warmth on a low console or kitchen corner. It won't light a whole room on its own and isn't meant to — that's a good thing after dark. Pair it with a second lamp across the room, or a floor lamp, if you want more than one warm spot.
